Face to Face or Online Training?

Your life is busy, your training shouldn’t have to hold back your business. GSES training is mostly online, and is self-paced. This means you can enrol anytime and set your own learning schedule!

We find electricians and engineers can’t always afford to take a week off from work or their own training. Our Design Only courses are 100% online, and self-paced.

Electricians in Design & Install or Install Only courses also attend a 2-day practical component in Western Sydney. Watch the video for more information.

I’m starting my solar career

We recommend starting with Grid Connected PV Systems. This course is our most popular and the foundation for your solar career of which further training can be built upon. Variants for this course include ‘Design Only’, ‘Install Only’, and ‘Design and Install’. Please check the course page to check your eligibility. If you’re not an electrician, you’ll need to complete the Electrical Principles prerequisite unit first.

If you are only interested in off grid solar systems, our Stand Alone Power System can be taken in the full course variant without having other accreditations. If you plan to work on grid connected systems at some point, we recommend you start with the Grid-Connected and Battery Storage courses first. This way, you will be eligible for the fast track version of the Stand-Alone course.

I already have at least one SAA Accreditation

If you have already completed a Grid Connected PV Systems course you can continue your training by getting a Battery Storage Systems accreditation and a Stand-Alone Power Systems accreditation

The next step is Grid-Connected Battery Storage Systems. This course focus on battery storage for solar systems. This accreditation is required to design and install residential and commercial battery systems.

The last, and most challenging step, is your Stand Alone Power Systems course. Note that the practical components are only run twice per year. There are 2 shortened variants of this course depending on which accreditation you already have.
