This module covers work health and safety as a planning discipline in C&I solar construction. You’ll work through safe work method statements, site controls, lifting and access, weather and rescue planning, live-site interfaces, and the requirements around planned shutdowns on critical infrastructure.
This course is eligible for 20 CPD points with the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for this course, but it is assumed that learners have existing knowledge of grid-connected PV and battery systems. They may have completed a Grid-Connected PV Systems and a Grid-Connected Battery Systems course, hold corresponding SAA accreditation, or have applicable industry experience across residential and commercial systems.

This module covers work health and safety as a planning discipline in C&I solar construction. - Safe Work Planning: SWMS and Site Inductions
- Site Controls: Traffic, Waste, Exclusion Zones, and Compliance
- Lifting and Access: Equipment Selection and Lift Planning
- Weather, Rescue, and Edge Protection
- Managing Live-Site Interfaces and After-Hours Work
- Planned Shutdowns and Critical Infrastructure
Training Outcome
Learners will receive a GSES certificate of completion stating they have completed the ‘Commercial & Industrial Solar and BESS Series, Module 3: WHS & Construction Planning’ course. This course is eligible for 20 CPD points with the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

Duration
This online course is self-paced. We estimate it may take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete, however this can vary. Course access is valid for 12 months.
