There are no formal prerequisites for this course, but it is assumed that learners have existing knowledge of grid-connected PV and battery systems. They may have completed a Grid-Connected PV Systems and a Grid-Connected Battery Systems course, hold corresponding SAA accreditation, or have applicable industry experience across residential and commercial systems.

This module covers how equipment is sourced, contracted, and delivered for C&I solar projects. You’ll work through procurement model decisions, foreign exchange and lead time risks, contract and Incoterms fundamentals, and the logistics and site handling requirements that keep a project on track.

This course covers the following topics:

1. Procurement Models: OEM-Direct vs Distributor
2. Risks, Forex, and Lead Times in OEM Procurement
3. Contracts, Incoterms, and Risk Transfer
4. Warehousing, Logistics, and Site Handling

Learners will receive a GSES certificate of completion stating they have completed the ‘Commercial & Industrial Solar and BESS Series, Module 2: Supply Chain, Procurement & Logistics’ course. This course is eligible for 15 CPD points with the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

A computer, laptop, table, or phone with reliable internet access is required.
