There are no formal prerequisites for this course, but it is assumed that learners have existing knowledge of grid-connected PV and battery systems. They may have completed a Grid-Connected PV Systems and a Grid-Connected Battery Systems course, hold corresponding SAA accreditation, or have applicable industry experience across residential and commercial systems.

This module covers cable selection, sizing, installation, and management for C&I solar and BESS systems. You’ll work through copper and aluminium selection, thermal design, jointing and termination integrity, earthing and earth grid design, and cable infrastructure including trays, underground cabling, routing, and labelling.

This course covers the following topics:

2. Jointing, Terminations and Connection Integrity
3. Earthing and Earth Grid Design
4. Cable Infrastructure: Trays, Underground, Routing and Labelling

Learners will receive a GSES certificate of completion stating they have completed the ‘Commercial & Industrial Solar and BESS Series, Module 7: Cabling, Thermal & Cable Management’ course. This course is eligible for 20 CPD points with the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

A computer, laptop, table, or phone with reliable internet access is required.
