This module covers how C&I solar and battery projects are structured, governed, and delivered. You’ll work through the project lifecycle from inception to O&M, explore the standards and approval landscape, and learn how risk, contracts, and tradable certificates fit into the picture.

This course is eligible for 20 CPD points with the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for this course, but it is assumed that learners have existing knowledge of grid-connected PV and battery systems. They may have completed a Grid-Connected PV Systems and a Grid-Connected Battery Systems course, hold corresponding SAA accreditation, or have applicable industry experience across residential and commercial systems.

This module covers how C&I solar and battery projects are structured, governed, and delivered. You’ll work through the project lifecycle from inception to O&M, explore the standards and approval landscape, and learn how risk, contracts, and tradable certificates fit into the picture.

  2. Who’s Who: Stakeholders, Roles, and Accountability Gaps
  3. Project Lifecycle Part 1: Inception to EPC Selection
  4. Project Lifecycle Part 2: Detailed Design through O&M
  5. Risk Allocation and QA Gates
  6. The Standards Landscape
  7. Tradable Certificates: STC, LGC, VEEC, REGO, I-REC
  8. Approvals, DNSP Process, and Metering
Training Outcome

Learners will receive a GSES certificate of completion stating they have completed the ‘Commercial & Industrial Solar and BESS Series, Module 1: Project Framework & Standards Landscape’ course. This course is eligible for 20 CPD points with the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

Delivery is online comprising of online content with a short quiz at the end of the topic. Tutor support is available if required.

Duration

This online course is self-paced. We estimate it may take approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete, however this can vary. Course access is valid for 12 months.
