Since October 2014, Global Sustainable Energy Solutions Pty Ltd (GSES) has been running a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training day for accredited solar installers. Due to the success of these courses, GSES had developed a new set of three courses for 2016. The GSES CPD program offers installers the opportunity to complete all of their CPD requirements in a single day of face-to-face training.
The solar industry throughout Australia is currently preparing for the wide adoption of batteries and their price continues to decline. How well industry keeps up with the rapid expansion of this technology’s deployment depends in large part on having a well-educated and trained workforce. The CEC CPD requirements are an excellent opportunity to expand solar designers and installers knowledge of battery technology as application.
GSES PD days comprise three professional development courses delivered in a single day of training. The courses covered are: Interpreting Electricity Bills and Interval Metering, Sizing Battery Systems, and Standards of Battery Storage Systems. This PD material focuses on practical, up-to-date knowledge, and successful students will receive a total of 110 CPD points for the day’s training, which can be used towards Clean Energy Council (CEC) accreditation renewal.
