There are no formal prerequisites for this course, but it is assumed that learners have existing knowledge of grid-connected PV and battery systems. They may have completed a Grid-Connected PV Systems and a Grid-Connected Battery Systems course, hold corresponding SAA accreditation, or have applicable industry experience across residential and commercial systems.

This module covers how to select and configure PV and BESS equipment for C&I projects. You’ll work through string design and MPPT optimisation, inverter station design, module selection, BESS fundamentals and safety requirements, and BESS operations including communications and cyber security.

This course covers the following topics:

1. String Design and MPPT Optimisation
2. Inverter Station Design and Module Selection
3. BESS Fundamentals and Safety
4. BESS Operations, Communications and Cyber Security

Learners will receive a GSES certificate of completion stating they have completed the ‘Commercial & Industrial Solar and BESS Series, Module 6: Equipment Selection’ course. This course is eligible for 20 CPD points with the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

A computer, laptop, table, or phone with reliable internet access is required.
