About this Project
GSES was selected to perform system compliance inspections and performance evaluations on two PV installations in the Pacific Island Nation of Vanuatu. GSES also was contracted to provide system specific operations and maintenance training for local utility personnel.

Owners Engineer testing was conducted on behalf of international UAE donor Masdar and local design and installation company Clay Energy. The existing local island grid is supplied by diesel generators, solar and wind turbines. The new power generation systems were installed as two grid connect PV systems, a 634.3kW and a 122.76kW grid connected PV system.
GSES provided Owner Engineer compliance and testing services, inspecting the system as per IEC62548, AS3000 and AS4777. The system was tested to IEC620364, IEC62446 and IEC61724. Testing involved monitoring and measuring performance parameters to determine the system performance ratio, system availability, inverter efficiency, string efficiency and system losses.
