Solar installation for designers is an introductory level, hands-on 1-day course located in Western Sydney. This allows designers to learn solar installations without needing a working at heights certificate or electrical license. Please note this is NOT an accreditation course.

Please contact GSES staff for the next date available.

Note: This course is subject to minimum numbers, GSES will give appropriate notice to any changes.

Is this course for me?
This is ideal for engineers, CEC accredited designers, or those with basic electrical training wanting to excel in their field. Graduate Engineers looking to land their first job will stand out with this training. This course will allow you to understand everything solar installers will do with your designs. A complete skillset of grid-connected solar design and installation is essential to advancing your career. We assume students will have prior solar design knowledge similar to our GCPV Design course

What will I learn?

This is a non-accredited training course to allow participants to experience a real installation safely. You will be trained by a CEC accredited, licensed electrician with many years of experience in the solar industry.

The day starts with a short introduction & site considerations. Next, you will complete two full installations of de-energized solar systems on two types of roofs. Finally, a Q&A session will finish the course. Please view the dropdown for detailed course contents.

Where is the course located?

Our training centre is located at 122 Hume Highway, Chullora, NSW.
