ISPQ Training Accreditation

How to Apply for ISPQ Accreditation or Certification

Candidates for one of the five accreditation or certification recognitions must first go through a self assessment by filling out an application that provides evidence they meet the requirements of the ISPQ Accreditation/Certification Standard. Desk and site audits are the next steps for training programs and master trainer status. For continuing education accreditation and instructor certification, a desk audit is usually sufficient. Finally, the Awards Committee makes the determination to grant status or not based on the auditor's report and scrutiny of the candidate's material.

It should take no longer than one (1) year from the date the application is received to the final determination by the Awards Committee.

The ISPQ quality assessment is ongoing and includes annual reports. The initial achievement of ISPQ status is not an indefinite credential. The application and audit process is on a five-year cycle with annual reviews.

The first step in the process is to determine if your program and/or trainer has met the relevant requirements of ISPQ Standard DIS 01021.

Next, review the Candidate Handbook. This will give you all the information you need to know about eligibility, fees, annual maintenance of the award, timelines, and policies. It is a hefty document but it covers all aspects of the ISPQ assessment process.

A specific Application Guide has been developed for each of the 5 recognition programs.

  1. Accreditation for Training Programs
  2. Accreditation for Continuing Education Courses
  3. Certification for Independent Master Trainers
  4. Certifications for Affiliated Master Trainers
  5. Certification for Instructors

The Application Guides make applying straightforward. The guides walk applicants through the process of demonstrating that they meet the requirements of the ISPQ Standard. Please follow the directions in the Application Guide.
