GSES is involved with a variety of projects, including training, capacity building and installations.

Global Sustainable Energy Training

GSES has recently launched Global Sustainable Energy Training (GSET) as a department solely focused on the delivery of quality training courses in the renewable energy industry. The first development was a web-based course for electricians to become accredited installers of grid-connected PV systems within Australia. Additional courses in energy efficiency, stand-alone power systems and end-user training are also being developed.

Projects

GSES is also involved with many projects to develop both standards and training mechanisms in renewable energy. These projects span over more than 15 countries and involved many different partners, including the World Bank, AusAID, UNDP, BCSE, APEC and the Australian Greenhouse Office.

System Installations

Collectively the partners within GSES have installed hundreds of renewable energy power systems over the last 20 years. GSES has the experience to design any system that you require and project manage the installation of any sized renewable energy project.

These systems range from one-module systems up to very large hybrid systems, which include large generator Interactive Inverters. The customers have ranged from single homeowners, Government Departments like National Parks, Police etc and also schools.

Typical applications have been:

Domestic systems for remote homes;
Communication sites for police, army etc;
Water pumping systems;
Cathodic protection systems;
Systems for tourist resorts.
