Establishment of ISP Licensee in ASEAN Region for ASEAN Countries

Project Description:

As a follow on to the establishment of the quality framework in for RE training in the ASEAN region, GSES will now be establishing an ISP licensee for the region.

This will involve:

  • Undertaking feasibility study on potential Licensees
  • Developing a business plan for the operation
  • Building capacity within the selected organisation to undertake all the required activities of the ISP Licensee

Quality Renewable Energy Training Program in China and India

Project Description:

This project has two streams:

  1. China Stream: Establishing an ISP office in Beijing - this office will then work with Ministry of Labor to either adopt the ISP framework or establish an new framework for accrediting RE training in China .
  2. India Stream: To develop a strategy on how to build capacity in RE training within India . The project will included:
    • a series of workshops across India ; consultation with stakeholders in India and
    • the development of the final strategy. The aim of the strategy document is to facilitate India applying for funding to undertake the identified activities required to build the capacity.

This project will form a workplace training strategy for several renewable energy technologies (such as solar PV, wind, and bioenergy) based on projections of the size of each industry in 2020 and their unique training requirements.
