GSES partnered to review of the Remote Renewable Power Generation Program (RRPGP) with the objective to develop recommendations for a new Hybrid Rebate Program that was to start in 2007.
Australian Government’s ‘Renewable Energy Workforce Strategy Report’.
Client - Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (Australian Government).
Scope - Research, Report and Recommend.
GSES co-authored the Australian Government’s Renewable Energy Workforce Strategy Report to 2020. This series of 3 reports released in 2010 was written on behalf of the Clean Energy Council and sought to provide guidance and strategies to ensure that the skills and workforce requirements of the renewable energy industry can be met from 2010 to 2020. The report provided information that will be essential to Renewable Energy training facilities (tertiary, trade, private and corporate) who must anticipate the level of training required across all renewable energy disciplines, the number of trainers required to deliver this training material and the physical facilities they will need.
The international consulting team is lead by GSES founder director - Geoff Stapleton. He has travelled extensively for over 15years working with government and NGO’s to facilitate the introduction of solar and renewable energies to working communities in developing nations. A key part of his role as an international consultant is the knowledge and understanding of the specific cultural, social and political environments of each developing region, in particular around South East Asia and Africa.
